Re:  Walk 4 Justice

Dear Brothers and Sisters;

The CUPE Alberta Aboriginal Council asks for your support for the Walk 4 Justice.  This is a non-profit organization that was created by donations and volunteers since January 2008.  Gladys Radek and Bernice Williams co-founded this group to raise awareness about the plight of the far too many missing and murdered women across Canada.

The Walk 4 Justice will journey from Vancouver BC to Ottawa Ontario.  It is the 4th anniversary of the first walk done in 2008.

The Aboriginal Council will be providing our postcards to the walkers as they make this monumental journey for Justice.

On or about July 8th, the Walk 4 Justice group should be coming through Calgary.  It is the hope of the Council that with donations from CUPE Locals and a donation from CUPE Alberta Division we can provide a lunch for them.  With the generous donation of the kitchen facilities from CUPE Local 37 we are ready to roll.

Please contact Gloria Lepine, Senator of the Aboriginal Council, stew3550@telus.net if you have any questions.  To make any monetary donation,  please make the cheques out to CUPE Alberta Division.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

In solidarity;

CUPE Alberta Aboriginal Council
